About the San Diego NAACP

The San Diego Branch is committed to promoting the political, educational, social and economic equality of people of color in San Diego. The Branch was formed in 1910. The past presidents are as follows:

The late Dr. Kimbrough
The late Mr. Dennis Allen
The late Mr. Charles Reid
The late Mr. Charles Thomas
Mr. Hartwell W. Ragsdale
The late Dr. Walter Porter
Ms. Sonja Reid
Ms. Gerri Warren
Ms. Mamie Louise Greene
Mr. Curtis Moring
The Honorable Daniel Weber
Mr. Frank Jordan
Rev. Willie Manley
The Honorable Randa M. Trapp
Petrina Burnham, Esq.

Thank you to all of our past presidents for their leadership and commitment to civil rights. Many of the rights and privileges that we enjoy today are the direct result t of their sacrifices. They helped with the right to vote for people of color. They helped open the doors of employment and educational opportunity, and they have fought against abuses in the criminal justice system. We stand on each of their shoulders as we continue to promote political, educational, social and economic equality in San Diego.
